Recommended Fee (Transaction Fee)
The fee paid to miners when sending Bitcoin. Measured in sat/vB (satoshi/virtual byte), higher fees result in faster transaction processing.
Block
A bundle of Bitcoin transactions. A new block is created when a miner solves a mathematical puzzle, approximately every 10 minutes. Each block has a maximum size of about 4MB (including SegWit).
Difficulty Adjustment
Mining difficulty automatically adjusts every 2,016 blocks (approximately 2 weeks). If block generation is faster than 10 minutes, difficulty increases; if slower, it decreases. This keeps the block generation rate constant.
Halving
An event where mining rewards are cut in half every 210,000 blocks (approximately 4 years). It is a key mechanism to maintain Bitcoin's maximum supply of 21 million BTC, and historically prices have shown significant increases after halvings.
